Why use carpet mats?
Carpet-type mats are solution dyed and made from polypropylene pile (a synthetic fibre), with rubber or vinyl backing. Price-wise, the vinyl backed version is the cheaper one, but the rubber backed type is the better one for quality. Carpet-type mats with rubber backing are longer lasting, with a backing of specialty grip cleated rubber. The rubber backing minimises movement in most carpets and improves traction on hard surfaces, making it a safer option for foot traffic, prams, wheelchairs and trolleys.
