Why use a solar system and not a petrol generator?
Solar system’s major investment is done once and maintenance costs are not significant as there are no any moving part. Petrol generators might have lower initial investment as compared to that of a solar system but it requires high operation costs including fuel, repair and maintenance. If costs of the two are compared over a period of their lifetime the cost of running a petrol generator overweighs that of a solar system. A generator is replaced after 2-3 years.
