Why use a sea-salt mixture on navel piercings? What does it do?
Same reasons hospitals use saline solution, which is what a sea salt mixture is. It kills germs, and the heat and saltiness help draw out moisture from the wound, which bring out germs and debris with it. A soak is better than a spray saline because the heat and soaking do more that just the salt would alone.
