Why use a condenser microphone instead of a regular tape recorder microphone?

Quality is the answer. Using a high quality microphone, especially one that requires phantom power, or a condenser microphone, will give the user a warmer, and apparent strong voice no matter the voice type being recorded. There are other reasons why you dont want to use a tape recorder type microphone; you know the kind, from the Mod Squad era, or Kojak era. These types of microphones pick up a lot of static and sound terrible, almost like having your TV on and hearing white noise or pink noise, in other words its almost like listening to static on your Television Set.
