Why use a CD-ROM Server?
There is often a need, within an organization, to share information available on CDs. With CD drives on individual PCs only one person can access a specific CD at the time. Buying copies of every CD for everybody in the organization gets expensive, and trying to find the right one when you need is very time consuming. With a CD-ROM server everybody has access to all CDs simultaneously. The typical application is software distribution, reference material and technical manuals.
