Exciting science: we use self-assembling polymer molecules to build intricate structures with nanoscale-size structures for advanced functional and structural properties. In interdisciplinary “soft matter” approach to these systems is the future of polymer science. Research at the forefront of international activity, with experiments conducted at facilties in the UK and France, Denmark, Germany. Results are published in the premier journals and research is substantially supported by grant bodies. Training in industrially relevant techniques: polymer characterization, processing, rheology, x-ray scattering, thin film preparation, atomic force microscopy, modelling and more. Personal supervision: unlike other large research groups, stimulating, productive and useful research is personally supervised by Dr Hamley. Some studentships on joint projects with other collegues are available. The range of projects is very wide. Copolymer gels featured in this poster are just one aspect, we also h
