Why tube rectification?

0

Or the secret of the 7th tube in the above amp… All amplifier must convert the alternating current from the wall to direct current. Traditionally, inexpensive silicon diode rectifiers perform this job. For best sonic performance in our tube amplifiers, we much prefer old-fashioned but costier vacuum tube rectification. In instances where we need to increase current capability to properly support the chosen output tubes (as with the Jota for example) we start with solid state rectification, then place a tube rectifier in series to capture its sonic advantages regardless. Auto bias All Art Audio amplifiers use sophisticated auto biasing so no voltmeters, screw drivers or user maintenance is ever required. Once the tubes have been installed, the amps need to merely be turned on or off. If tubes are due for replacement, they can be simply inserted without any adjustments.
