Why Threaded Discussions?

0

Threaded Discussions are the best means we have for simulating classroom-type discussions online. I’ll pose a topic or a question and you reply with a paragraph of at least 100 words. Everyone in the class will see your response and please read them all yourself. Since they’ll come in on various days during the week, visit several times. Only after submitting your own 100 word+ response, may you make comments under anyone else’s. That way you’ll get to know your classmates. Grading and Netiquette I will grade your first 100+ word response to the question or topic. Highest scores (9 or 10 points) go to students who give thoughtful, informative or knowledgeable submissions. They must be free of spelling and grammatical errors and of course follow the rules of netiquette. Guidelines are best described at this address: http://www.albion.com/netiquette/corerules.html. Naturally, offensive postings are cause for removal from the class. I will not grade comments you make to others specificall
