Why there is a problem with google in china?
The previous answerer got most of it. China was already censoring a large portion of Google anyhow. Google just, IMHO, got fed up. There was an incident a few months back where China was caught red handed trying to hack into google’s databases for email accounts of people they considered “rowdy”. They were basically some activists of some sort– i don’t recall their cause. Anyhow, Google caught them in the act and beat them back. Why in god’s name a country would be dumb enough to hack the world’s top club of hackers is beyond me. Those chinese hackers didn’t stand a chance. To metaphorically compare the battle to a dog fight would be like saying the chinese (a spaniel) decided to anger google (a bull mastiff). The winner is obvious no? Since then, relations between google and china have been strained at best. Hope this helps!
