Why the unique pad shape?
We looked at the other existing pad shapes and construction and immediately saw room for improvement. Our pad protects like others, yet provides even more performance. Our oval shape clears cables well – especially hydraulic lines. Because it’s molded we were able to punch a recess into the rear for gas tank vent hose clearance. It wraps around our bar and fits our clamps like a glove, eliminating the need for Velcro® attachment straps. We recommend you always use tie wraps for safety reasons, and there are two outer flats to accommodate zip ties – included.
