Why the traditional MBA program is not suitable for current business environment?
A. MBA program is offered only by university departments and affiliated colleges who teach their students using curricula fixed by the concerned universities. The university curricula normally do not reflect the contemporary business as universities take longer period to change their curricula. This kind of fixed curricula is not suitable to the requirements of the contemporary business where major changes happen very often. Business calls for thinking beyond contemporary environment and acquire capabilities for future. Business also has become global with every shackle being removed by the government facilitating globalisation. University MBA Programmes are archaic and are unable to respond to the changing requirements of business real time. Students who want to get real business education do not prefer MBA program; they choose PGDM program of leading institutions.
