Why the scope of measurement of SpO2 is not 0–100%?
Only dead people have 0% SpO2. Individuals who have a SpO2 reading under 88% is already in a critical medical condition left alone 0%. For clinical test purpose, there is no one has ever tried to have the test subject’s SpO2 set below 69% for test purpose since it is too dangerous to the test subject; therefore, all brands state as “35-69% unspecified.
