Why the recent interest in Polaroid instant cameras?
I guess for the same reason, there is an interest for vinyl (LPs, records), and I’ve notice also with the Rubik’s cube with the youngsters. This happens a lot with clothing fashion. There may be that a particular age group of the population are re-living some of the items they grew up with, or introducing it to their own children, or those who’ve never seen or tried that particular product and are curious. Like most fads, this will be short lived until it’s a “new” thing again with another generation. Who knows? There may be a greater resurgence of 35mm cameras, (or gasp!) 110 film (Ha! I remember having to use ‘flashbulbs’!), or the disc camera, for when the digital camera generation have never experienced “film” camera/photography.
