Why the name Polish Legion of American Veterans?

0

During the American Revolution, the gallant General Casmir Pulaski organized a calvary group which was called “Pulaski’s Legion” or the “Polish Legion.” During the Civil War, General Wladmir Krzyzanowski commanded the 58th New York Infantry Regiment which was called the “Polish Legion.” Both fought and made the supreme sacrifice for America, the America worth fighting for, and we carry on their traditions and honor their memory.
