Why the move from designing games to Discover Games?
At every show I ran into the same designers and everyone kept saying we should all band together to save some money and have a bigger presence in the industry. The power of the Internet was just starting to be felt and facilitated the venture. People (trade and consumers) can check out new offerings from designers at their convenience. They don’t have to travel to find new games, they are at their fingertips. In addition, DiscoverGames was put out there to help inventors avoid the mistakes I and other inventors have made over the years. I would have saved thousands if there had been a DiscoverGames when I started. The networking is invaluable. Everyone in the industry seemingly stops by our booth at shows. We help the game companies find games, suppliers find customers and inventors find help to manufacture and retail outlets, media attention or licensing deals. I want to emphasize that the inventors have to look at us as a marketing tool. We aren’t going to do everything for them. The
