Why the Lite versions?
A. After conferring with many of our users, we discovered that not everyone needs the complete protection capabilities available in softSENTRY. Many expressed special interest in the trialware features of softSENTRY, particularly for putting evaluation software on-line. To gives these users a cost-effective alternative to modifying their source code, we introduced the two Lite versions of softSENTRY–one for 16-bit Windows applications and another for 32-bit. Each offers all the trailware capabilities of the full-feature product but not the more sophisticated protection features such as machine dependent passwords. If Lite users should decide at a latter time that they need all the capabilities only available from softSENTRY, they can upgrade for only the difference in price. It’s nice to know you can protect your investment.
