The group’s first investigation is still special to Wright. “The stories there are endless,” Wright said of The Lake Lure Inn & Spa. “The most dominate story we can confirm is that in the 1930s or ‘40s a bride was killed here on her wedding night or her honeymoon. “But here’s the strange thing – every hotel I’ve talked to has the story of a bride killed on her wedding night. We could’ve dismissed it as an urban legend until we caught the voice,” he said. That voice, and that of a woman’s scream, had no explanation, Wright said. Those pieces of evidence, along with all the stories of people who have visited or worked at the Inn over the years led PSI to conclude there is paranormal activity at the inn.
