Yes, WHY. But not just an old dog, any dog – or other animal for that matter. Your question brought back memories for me – I live in the UK and about 11 years ago I was over in Australia for a 6 week holiday with my sister who lives there. She owned a Boarding Kennells and bred and showed Cavalier King Charles spaniels. One day her vet rang her up and asked if she could take in for a couple of weeks a young Cavalier that had (like your instance) been thrown out of the window of a fast moving car. The dog had various cuts and bruises, a broken hind leg [which the vet had put into plaster] and was malnourished. My sister agreed and when we collected him he met us with a wagging tail and a lick! This time there was a happy ending, after a week we thought he was such a super little dog my sister named him Superman and rang the vet and told him to send her the bill for the treatment he had given the dog [he did not, so not all vets are money grabbers] as ‘Superman’ was going no where.
