Why the Canadian filing vs. a US filing?
Gandy: Gandinnovations’ main manufacturing operations are in Canada. It made sense since most of our suppliers are in Canada to file CCAA in Canada. CCAA is not a bankruptcy filing. It is a court monitored arrangement with creditors. What does this mean for the daily running of Gandinnovations while the restructuring takes place over the next three months? Gandy: Actually, there will be little change in the every day operations of the business. We will have to do more accounting functions similar to an audit. How will this affect current Gandinnovations customers (those with installed equipment) in terms of warranties, service, and support? Gandy: No change, whatsoever. Warranties are still good; service is still available as will be customer support. We have addressed our customers through their sales rep and told them all the details.
