Why the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness?
Wilderness travel, canoe skills, low impact camping skills, teamwork, and personal reflection are the focus of the Spring BWCAW field study. Students will develop a better understanding of this unique environment dominated by lakes and streams through study and direct exploration. Students will challenge themselves to appreciate life without depending on many of its modern conveniences. In addition , each year students will asses the history of the BWCAW, as well as the current issues that face the beautiful landscape.
