Why take Alcohol Smart?
If you are concerned about your drinking or fear legal consequences due to drinking, then alcohol education is a good alternative. Or, if you have received an underage drinking citation or other legal judgment, you may have been given the option of participating in an alcohol education program. In most cases, successful completion of a required Alcohol Smart class will fulfill such court-mandated obligations and may help reduce fines or save your driver’s license privileges. It also may give you the information necessary to moderate your drinking and possibly prevent legal consequences in the future. Who is eligible to take Alcohol Smart? Classes are open to the general public. Alcohol Smart classes are also available for first time offenders (and beyond) as determined by the referring party (typically a court, District Attorney, or other legal authority).
