Why Swedish people speak English so well?

0

Well first of all Swedish TV show a lot of English TV shows and movies and only use subtitles not dubbing like for example in Spain. So we hear a lot of English spoken from an early age. I remember listening to English language songs as a child, and so did all my friends….so we hear it from there as well. We also start to learn English in out fourth year of school….so by the time we reach university level, we know it pretty well. And lastly, Swedish is rater similar to English in terms of grammar, as well as quite a few words. Like you already know, Swedish people in general are mostly fluent in English…any tends to be happy to use it, so I do not think that it is necessary or very useful for you to learn it, especially since only about 10 million people in the world speaks it.
