Why sulphur is used in making car tyres?
Car tyres are made of rubber.Mostly the roads are made of cement or tar.Constant friction with the road creates much heat and at higher speed the tyres may burst.To harden the tyres a process called vulcanization of rubber is done before their production.This is done done processing rubber with sulphur.This hardens the tyres and make them tough.
