Why Study Political Science at Fisher?
The Political Science Program at St. John Fisher College offers students close contact with outstanding faculty; opportunities for internships at the local, state, national, and international levels; collaborative research projects; and the ability to design their own program within the major or minor. Political science majors may earn practical experience in political life by taking one-semester government jobs in Washington, Albany, or Rochester. St. John Fisher College’s Political Science Program leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree prepares students for careers in government, politics, education, or business and industry through the study of how political decisions affect society and individuals. Students will work closely in small classes with award-winning faculty members, including a Fulbright Scholar, who are active as authors and researchers.
