Why Study Museum Techniques at UW-Stevens Point?
This minor is a healthy addition to a major in Resource Management, Biology or other environmental studies for those interested in becoming naturalists in zoos, parks or museums. Individuals possessing the skills acquired in Museum Techniques will enjoy a distinct advantage in a competitive market. Many courses in the university, especially those taken in the Semester Abroad program, may be taken with negotiable credit toward the minor. UWSP’s Museum of Natural History is located in the Learning Resources Center. High School Preparation Courses in the social, physical and natural sciences, as well as in art and oral/written communication, would be good preparation.
