Why Study Health, Physical Education and Sports Studies at UNE?
The teaching of HPESS subjects is carried out by a small team of four committed academics who have formerly served as teachers and leaders in school education, are currently researching in subject related areas and take pride in their work as teacher educators. Often the ratio of staff to students allow for the individual needs and interests of students to be catered for in a very supportive and personalised face-to-face or online learning environment. Former external students speak highly of the personal, flexible and meaningful relationship that they have enjoyed with this team; the relevant, authentic and engaging approaches to teaching and learning; the value of our residential school and the opportunity to create their own professional experiences within their own localities. Internal students enjoy the benefits of the proximity and availability of the HPESS team and the very interactive nature of lectures, tutorials and workshops.
