European Cultures and Histories allows you to explore this many-faceted legacy, fixing your own priorities – history, literature, art, or film – as you progress, with the option of a European language. People who choose European Cultures and Histories at Reading will want to reach across disciplines and link the thought, way of life, creative achievements and events that have shaped the world’s most diverse continent. They will be excited by the opportunity to study in depth the cultures and histories of individual European countries, compare them with one another, and assess the existence and nature of a common, European civilisation and its relations with the rest of the world.
