Why Stepper Motor Gauge ?
Stepper motor moves only when the input signal alters to transfer a digital signal into an accurate angle display. The input signal is monitored hundreds of times a second to move the motor stepper with High speed rotation: 600°/sec and “High μ-step resolution: 1/12°. Cheaper non-stepper motor gauges otherwise known as air-core movement move by means of magnetic fields and mechanical movement but are also susceptible to movement from vibration when driving and as such needles flicker and move constantly. As a result, stepper motor gauges could achieve generally around 99% accurate as opposed to 90 – 95% with mechanical or air-core movement gauges.
