Why spend money to take down and then rebuild Cole Chapel?
If we leave it in its present location we will have to spend money to correct a major problem with water coming in from the west wall. By rebuilding the Chapel we can provide a more significant entrance onto the corner of Locust and Sycamore. This would actually make it more prominent. The new location fits better into the new overall layout. We believe that the interior of Cole Chapel is worth saving. It has significant memories for many members of our church as well as other people in Denton. The stained glass windows are beautiful and provide great lessons about our faith. It is very good to have a smaller worship space for weddings and funerals.
