Why Speed, Strength and Agility Training?
Speed, strength, and agility are important qualities for any sport but no one can argue that they merit special attention in soccer. In addition to the playing benefits realized from this type of training, the regime utilized by Fort Worth United in its speed, strength, and agility course is also an important deterrent to ACL type injuries. Players are put through intricate agility courses, taught specialized speed and starting techniques, and take their turn through the strength training course in the Resource Connection’s Sand Pit. Fort Worth United is one of the few clubs in North Texas to offer this type of training to its members.
