Why some one thing that the holocast is true?
The fact that the Holocaust took place is well documented and acknowledged by the Germans. Some people insist on talking about 6 million Jews. Roma (Gypsies) people were also targeted. So one could refer to the Holocaust as genocide. However, the mentally and physically disadvantaged were also victims as Hitler attempted to create a ‘master race.’ We now call ‘genocide’ ‘ethnic cleansing’. Guantanamo is a crass violation of human rights, but cannot be described as either genocide or ethnic cleansing. Civilian deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan are written off as ‘collateral damage,’ and have nothing to do with ethnic cleansing. They would probably be described as, ‘regrettable, but unavoidable.’ True cynics might describe Muslims as the new Jews.
