Jesuit is a collegepreparatory school. Completion of a high school education is only half the mission. The true goal is for these young men to complete both a successful secondary and collegiate program. Approximately 25% of Jesuit students receive financial assistance in some form or another for their high school education. This need increases for those pursuing college. If they cannot afford to complete college and finish the journey, the potential of the Jesuit experience is not fully realized. If we ignore this reality, we are minimizing the value of the dollars donated for their high school education. In this way, older alumni can assist the young alumni complete the journey and maximize their true potential as a graduate of Jesuit. Also, in this manner we can help these young men become living examples of Men for Others.
