Why so much terrible Christian music being sung when Jesus did not sing ?
But Jesus did! He sang hymns. There are also plenty of songs, and of course pslams, recorded in the Bible. James 5:13 (New International Version) says : “Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise.” Revelation records a lot of singing. Revelation 14:3 (New International Version) says “And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.” I do not know anything about Christian bands plagerizing the work of others. But regardless of who did it, and for what purpose, such an action is wrong. And I agree with the idea, that some Christian music is neither musically pleasing, nor God praising. Also, it might also be that there is “terrible Christian music” being sung, because for whatever reason you personally find their music terrible. However, singing is a gift given to humanity.
