Why so many Americans want to Free Tibet ? ?
Well, with all due respect, I feel the need to clarify some things. Your original notion that there are a lot of American citizens who say they support the free Tibet movement is correct. But that’s about where it ends. However many ‘Free Tibet’ supporters there are, I doubt if even a majority of Americans are concerned with the movement, realistically. They may say it, and many may actively participate but most of us Americans are more like you and really more concerned with the day by day stuff of our own lives. Free Tibet supporters are from all walks of life but I imagine there are a lot of expatriates and Buddhists, and probably college-age kids. Apparently Richard Gere, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton are some of the many celebrities that support the movement. Radiohead are big supporters of the free Tibet movement too.
