Why six colours?
Research shows that six-colour presses are more prevalent than seven- or eight-colour presses, the enhanced colour reproduction capabilities of Hexachrome are more easily accessible to wider audiences. As compared to HiFi systems utilizing seven or eight colours, more printers will have the ability to print in Hexachrome. In addition, the cost of printing in Hexachrome will be less than when printing with HiFi systems utilizing more than six colours.
