Why shouldnt it be legal for 16 year olds to get piercings and tattoos without parental consent?
To be frank, teenagers are often idiots. I think that 16 year olds should be able to get whatever piercings they like, as when they grow older, and realize how stupid they were, they can just take them out, and they will heal up. However, 16 year olds definitely shouldn’t be allowed to get tattoos without parental consent. Think about what tattoo you’d have wanted at age 13, then think about what you’d have wanted at 16. Your idea of what looks good would be very different. A tattoo is forever, and most people, at 16, who would get a tattoo, would choose something far different if they waited to adulthood. If 16 year olds could get tattoos legally without parental consent, we’d have a LOT more people getting their tattoo mistakes lasered off.
