Why shouldn illegal immigrants benefit from Social Security when they are paying into it?
Some of the laws concerning illegal aliens make no sense. In fact, most don’t. Your example is good, so are the anchor baby laws. The reason Martinez can’t benefit from SS is because those are the rules. They are going to be changed in the future. And you are correct, illegal aliens are some of the hardest working people on the planet, why they face scorn from Americans is beyond my ability to comprehend. I admire this capability in them, a lot, and I know some that will work 14 hour days without eating for pay that many Americans would never consider. And they don’t complain about it either, because as bad as that sounds, it is better than the alternatives. Something about breaking laws to work makes me question the system in place. These analogies about robbing banks are ignorant, when criminals have to break laws to work, then the laws don’t work.
