Why shouldnt a non-muslim eat halal meat?

0

Halal meat, or kosher food, for that matter, are foods prepared according to certain religiously important rules. I do NOT mean to denigrate the importance of those rules to my Muslim or Jewish friends, but from my perspective when I go to dinner at their homes, it’s just the way they cook, and that they are offering me their hospitality and I respect the care they’ve taken in preparing it. Christians don’t have dietary rules, so there is nothing in halal or kosher food preparation that is objectionable to me on religious grounds. Just as I fully expect when I have dinner with (or make dinner for) my Hindu friends that the meal’s going to be vegetarian. (Do your Hindu friends object that the meat is halal, or that it’s meat?) (I should say that all this brotherhood and sisterhood of all mankind across religious boundaries is helped by the fact that all my friends are amazing cooks.
