Why should the Rock of Kii and the two royal palms be preserved?
We want the other children to learn about this site so that they can pass it down to future generations. The rock is a living legend which enables us to make connections between the past and the present. How can we preserve the Royal Palms? 1.We could tell every one the history of the palm trees and so they will understand why it’s important. 2. We could have the community meet and we could try to think of ways to save our royal palm trees if someone tries to knock them down. 3. We could go door to door asking people if they could help us protest against bulldozing the rock and trees. If nobody wants to join us, we would be willing to just do it by ourselves. 4. We could have a marble plaque that will explain the history of the palm trees and the rock on the site. 5. We could put up a Kamehameha sign that will point out the site to everyone.
