Why should the official language of America be English?
Very good point there sir, I completely understand where you are coming from, but you have to remember the saying that “to the victor, goes the spoils” The English, or european americans bascially “conqured” the American lands from the spanish before them, I believe if Spain have persevered in America, the official language would have been spanish. It is just a way of the origninal invaders/settlers to impose language/culture on the lands they inhabit. I am also a non-white American, and I have heard the same lines from people about how this is Ameirca and in America you need to speak english.
