Many of the Schools in the Issaquah School District bring in speakers for parent education on a variety of topics, such as Love and Logic, Bullying, Learning Styles, Technology (TV Internet), Safety, Math, etc. Read on to see how coordinating these efforts can positively impact the parents in our district and make life easier for the individual schools PTSA both their time and budgets. Money: By pooling portions of the individual schools Parent Education budgets we can, as a group, accomplish more with the money allocated to Parent Education. This would allow the schools to choose to lower their budgeted amounts for Parent Education depending on their goals and yearly funding or to use the remaining amount for specialized goals. For example: if every year, 10 schools each put in $250 for that years Parent Education speaker Fund we would have $2,500 to work with.
