Why should the governing body consult staff?
In previous rounds many governing bodies found it useful to inform school staff at all stages of the decision making progress. This ensured that the benefits of each model could be fully explored, staff could express their preferences between the options, faults could be found (e.g. staff identified as missing from the list), and concerns or complaints discussed.
