Why should students enroll in Hernando eSchool instead of Florida Virtual School?

The courses and requirements are the same. The difference is that Hernando eSchool teachers are local and will be able to meet as needed with students for face-to-face interaction. When students take courses through Hernando eSchool instead of FLVS and stay within the 6-class maximum school/virtual combination, the FTE funding remains in the district. This funding supports our District’s students and the community. Another advantage to enrolling in Hernando e-School courses is that we have a full-time experienced guidance counselor that will meet with you face to face and help you to make informed decisions. It is our desire to do whatever it takes to ensure that our students are successful! We have a stake in our community!
