Why should people head downtown to shop rather than driving over to a mall?
I think it’s the service. You don’t get the long lines. The merchants provide expertise and service that the big boxes can’t. And the specialty foods, organic and natural foods. Is the day after Thanksgiving a healthy combination of hectic and fun for you? I absolutely love it. It really is fun. What happens is people walk in and they just smell everything — the spices, coffees, candles. Then they walk around. Then they make another trip around, and they start to pick things out.
