Why should my child stay in the Preschool/PreK program for a second year?
By keeping your child in the Preschool/Prekindergarten class for a second year, you are giving your child several important opportunities: he or she can continue to grow academically while secure in the relationship with a beloved teacher; he or she can build on the knowledge and skills he or she has already developed in a seamless, continuous way; and he or she will have the invaluable chance to be a leader in the classroom, gaining self-confidence and practice by being a model for the younger children. We learn most when we teach others.
