Why should I verify my Domain Names registration information before applying for an SSL Web Server Certificate?
The certificate you receive includes the common name of your Web server (for example, www.entrust.com). The certificate can only be issued to you if your organization is the registered owner of the domain name that appears in the Web server’s certificate. For example, to receive a certificate for a server named www.acme.com your organization must be the registered owner of the domain name acme.com.
