You should always use the latest version of the Creative Commons licenses in order to take advantage of the improvements described on the license versions page. In addition, version 3.0 ShareAlike licenses are not backwards compatible, so users cannot license a work that incorporates or remixes a work offered under a BY-SA 3.0 license (like Wikipedia pages) under an earlier version of BY-SA. N.B. Many of the entries in these FAQs describe issues associated with the version 3.0 license suite and do not apply to earlier license versions.
