Why should I use Pelmform instead of buckram?
Buckram is used for hand-sewn headings and the design has to be carefully drawn on and cut out. You will need to either sew or iron the buckram onto your fabric then attach it to a pelmet board. Rufflette Pelmform is available in wider widths than buckram – upto 60cm – which means the entire design can be cut from one piece. Pelmform is also stiffer than buckram which eliminates the need for a pelmet board. Pelmform is self adhesive which means you do not need to iron or sew your fabric and the backing paper has five pre-drawn designs ready for you to cut out plus graph paper to make it easy to design your own shape. It can be easily cut out using sharp scissors.
