Why should I use NetSolve on SInRG, rather than requesting user accounts?
NetSolve has several benefits over directly interacting with SInRG computers. The first advantage is that in order to take full advantage of SInRG, one would have to request accounts on all of the SInRG machines, but through NetSolve no account is needed at all. A second advantage is that one NetSolve attempts to balance the load of many users evenly across SInRG, so that many users can take advantage of SInRG efficiently. An additional advantage is that each SInRG machine has libraries which are tuned to the individual machine to improve performance and NetSolve interacts directly with these tuned libraries, without any additional knowledge needed by the user.
