Why should I take Political Studies at Dordt?
As a Christian college in the Reformed perspective, Dordt evaluates the politics of the state based on the assumption that the state is an institution ordained by God to promote public justice. In your study of political studies, you will be encouraged and challenged: • To understand and develop your role as a citizen and to be prepared to think and act biblically in the political arena, • To explore ways to promote justice and righteousness through public policy, • To reject the competing ideologies of our time and learn to think in a way that is uniquely biblical and neither liberal nor conservative, • To examine the principles of God’s Word as they apply to politics and how they operate in his world.
